Apostolic Letter: Personal Commitment to Messiah

Apostolic Letter of 2 February 2004

There is no compromise with those who have a personal commitment to Messiah!

Over the previous ten years we have been seeing a number of people who were on one occasion faithful and those among other jurisdictions drawn to the web of deception that is so very widespread in some of the false religious movements. We can see people claiming to be faithful to Apostolic doctrine, but these are obviously, once we examine only even a brief portion of their literature and belief structure, that they are only interested in philosophical dialogues and the heresy of darkness. There is certainly nothing wrong with learning about the faith of others, and in fact, it is encouraged of all of the clergy within the Spiritual Communities to learn about various other religions. This edifies that of our own and assists us in witnessing the Gospel to our neighbours who are of a diverse religion.

On the other hand we observe people who have thrust themselves into the camp known as Pluralists, Universalists and self-styled “Interfaith Christians” where every religion is equal and serve as paths to the same goal. On the surface this sounds like an admirable mission of unity, peace, love and tolerance. Upon further evaluation, however, we see that there is no apparent and special commitment or dedication to Messiah involved…who is the ONLY way, truth and the life!

We have observed several members at a time falling away in favour of a religion that honours all things, all types of immorality, and all types of people no matter what their beliefs consist of.

The Lord has told us very clearly that there is no “grey” area when it comes to True and Pure worship! There are no allowances for people to sit on the fence! A person must give their complete and absolute faith, trust and life to Messiah and to continue walking the path of righteousness devoid of indecisiveness. This is true commitment! Either a person is worshipping and serving God in His Way, as outlined in His Word, or they are not. With commitment comes obligation (James 2:18-20).

Serving Messiah means committing oneself or obligating oneself to the responsibility of closely following the doctrines that He espoused throughout His earthly ministry. Serving Messiah in His way makes a person a true disciple. A true disciple does not amalgamate within their faith New Age teachings of “universalism”, false interfaith and compromise. No! There is no middle ground when Messiah is involved. Compromise is what the false religions are about. Compromise of morals and everything else that is opposite of Biblical, historical Orthodoxy.

Holy Michael instructed our blessed Spiritual Communities through our beloved St. Timotheos of Lisbon, speaking to brethren in India: “Bring prayers and Qurbana to the altar every day and glorify God in your heart and fall down on your knees and weep, for it is your Lord and your God who will protect those with a pure heart. Tell the children that the Lord loves them and that the Lord loves all those who call upon His Name in Truth….it is the time of the Lord to bring judgement against those who are found to be vile in the House of Thomas which is a House of the Lord and the House of the Lord must be purified by a cleansing of the fire of the Holy Spirit. These instructions are to the House of Thomas and it will do good for others to heed these instructions for they are of the Lord.”

The decontamination and purification of the Spiritual Communities, within all of its areas, is a gradual process and we regularly observe various ones who have fallen away due to a lack of faith. These people have taken the saving grace of our Lord and turned it into personal gain. Holy Michael said, “These vile and wicked men proclaim Messiah as their Saviour but they only do so out of selfish and greedy ambition. They seek recognition from the world, Timotheos, and you shall not follow after them for their ways are the ways of destruction and their house is full of disorder and the Lord is abandoning them and their shall be a great cry among them for the Lord is turning His shoulder to their house and He will not look upon them any longer and their portion will be with that of the world and the rest of those who do not love the Lord and His Truth, for they have distorted the Truth. They have made the world believe that their lies and their teaching are truth but the Lord will bring judgement against them and their lies will be visible for they have already been marked, Timotheos.” (Message of St. Michael to +Mar Timotheos in India).

We witness groups who call themselves “Universalist” and “Interfaith Christian” who are doing nothing but seeking acknowledgement from orthodox and historically based organisations in order to advance their vile and dangerous philosophies. Such ones are often approaching to respectable organisations through deception and they are sincerely given such recognition by those who are not fully aware of their motives. Once that recognition is granted these groups and individuals turn like a lion on the ones who granted them approval or endorsement. They condemn those who legitimately oppose their contemptible ways and claim that we are not being tolerant. Such ones unmistakably have no principles.

Our beloved Apostle St. Thomas, under divine instructions of Yeshua Mshikha our Lord and Saviour, established Spiritual Communities in India and elsewhere and presented the Gospel of Truth to those who would listen. There was no room for compromise. There was no room for those who wished to mix their heathen religion with that of Messiah’s Pure Faith. Saint Thomas had a mission and he carried it out to his death, testifying to his faith in his God and his Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

Today our Spiritual Communities needs to awaken and become stimulated! There is a serious need bringing an end to bickering about non-essential doctrine and inconsequential or paltry differences. Our clergy and faithful need to wake up, stand up and get out of the mire. Stop squabbling and spending countless hours on philosophical debates. The time is at hand for action! Complacency is not tolerable and will not be accepted on any level! No longer can the Spiritual Communities afford compromise from anyone! Be faithful to the calling of our Lord. Prove to Him that you are faithful. Demonstrate and make obvious your faith publicly, not just privately or in lip service only. Choose who you will serve today! There is no sitting on the fence with God! There are no grey areas with the Lord of Truth! Ecumenical unity does not suggest a union with “universalist” or “New Age” philosophy. Interdenominational liberty in the disputables does not suggest compromise of core Apostolic teaching. Love and compassion toward our neighbour does not suggest lack of morals or clear orthodox doctrine and standards. There is no compromise with those who have a personal commitment to Messiah! “Do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God?” (James 4:4).

Now is the time for us to come to the Lord with a contrite heart and to beg for mercy and request the Lord to cleanse our hearts. “Cleanse my heart and my lips, O Almighty God, Who cleansed the lips of the Prophet Isaiah with a burning coal. In Your gracious mercy deign so to purify me that I may worthily proclaim Your Holy Gospel.” “The fear of Yahweh is clean, enduring forever; The judgements of the Lord are true; they are righteous altogether.” (Psalm 19:9) The Assembly of Jerusalem will not compromise God’s Truth! Stand up and be counted among the true servants of God where there is no compromise or complacency!
